MINISTRIES AND COMMITTEES OF THE CHURCH
Deacons - Give leadership to the church’s ministry of serving the
physical and spiritual needs of members and the local community beyond the church. In addition, they assist in planning worship and arranging lay leadership for the services.
Food Pantry – First Church provides food items to the homeless and
others in need. The hours of service are the 1th and 4th Monday from 9:30am – 12:30pm. Food items are provided on a first come, first serve basis.
Spiritual Discussion Group - are held on Sunday mornings from 9:00am – 10:00am. The group is open to all who wish to engage in a lively discussion on the relevance of the Gospel for their life and the life of our church.
Trustees – Oversees the day to day maintenance and operations of the buildings and grounds as well
Usher – They assist individuals in feeling comfortable when they enter the church and in selecting their seats as quickly and quietly as possible. They also provide bulletins or programs for the worship service and offer the opportunity to share in the offering.
Women’s Ministry - Provides outreach to several non-profit organizations. They assist in providing clothes for new born babies at Jackson North Hospital and preparing food bags for the needy. They also visit the sick and the shut-in as needed.
Dance Ministry - Like the Music Ministry, the Dance Ministry is yet another venue to praise and worship our Lord through dance.
